About the role:
Blackbird’s marketing team is responsible for telling and amplifying our company story, driving demand generation, and positioning us as a leader in Narrative and Risk Intelligence combating the growing threats of online manipulation and disinformation. We’re looking for a Director of Demand Generation who will be responsible for the strategy and execution of marketing programs that capture and nurture leads across multiple channels. In this role, you’ll be responsible for programs to generate and nurture leads via events, SEM, email, retargeting, targeted social advertising, and cooperative marketing with partners. Reporting to the CMO and working closely with cross-functional teams, you’ll design, plan, manage, and optimize integrated digital marketing campaigns across multiple channels to generate pipeline revenue. What you'll do:
- Develop, implement and measure strategies to generate leads and revenue for the company. You will work closely with the sales and marketing teams to align efforts, and use data and analytics to measure and improve performance
- Build a digital demand generation tech stack that provides the most effective way to engage with prospects across all digital forums
- Create valuable ABM campaigns based on use cases by crafting compelling narratives and key messages to position Blackbird as a trusted leader in cybersecurity for media, enterprise and government.
- Collaborate with other departments, such as product and customer service, to create cohesive demand generation efforts
- Monitor industry trends and stay up-to-date on new technologies and techniques
- Conduct market and customer research to identify opportunities and challenges
- Create and manage demand generation budgets and forecasts
- Measure and report on the success of demand generation campaigns, using metrics such as leads, conversions, and revenue
- Identify and resolve challenges and conflicts within the demand generation process
- Provide training and support to team members on demand generation best practices and tools
- Designing, planning, managing, and optimizing integrated digital campaigns across multiple channels to generate pipeline.
- Monitoring and reporting campaign performance with granular tracking across relevant KPIs, including but not limited to impressions, clicks, web visitors, video views, collateral downloads, leads, initial sales conversations, and revenue
- Creating impactful nurture programs to improve conversion rates from leads to opportunities
- Working closely with the CMO and Director of Content and Communication for both granular tracking, reporting, and efficient lead management in the handoff from marketing to sales
- Overseeing vendor selection and contracts as needed
Requirements and skills
- 5-7 years of experience in demand generation or a related field
- Proficiency in marketing automation and CRM software
- Strong analytical skills, with experience analyzing data and making data-driven decisions
- Knowledge of sales techniques and strategies
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and projects
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Flexibility and adaptability to change
- A desire to learn and grow in the demand generation field
- Extensive experience in the development of creative campaigns and execution of email marketing, social advertising, content syndication, SEM, and paid digital
- Strong reporting capabilities with the ability to track campaign performance and associated spend down to the most granular details while providing roll-up reporting to senior management
- A digital marketing portfolio of produced marketing work
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing or related field
