The Opportunity:

Join our team as an Senior Intelligence Analyst and delve into the specialized field of Narrative Risk Intelligence. This engaging role enables you to apply your intelligence expertise using Blackbird’s custom-built AI-driven Constellation analytics platform.

The position incorporates a variety of exciting disciplines including Analytics, Research and Reporting, Client Support and Enablement. As a recognized subject matter expert, you will consult multiple stakeholders both within Blackbird.AI and across the broader industry.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Around 50% of this role is focused on acting as the Analyst Lead for a prominent, household-name private sector Blackbird client. The candidate’s main responsibilities will include:
    • Conducting detailed multi-source intelligence analysis on qualitative and quantitative data from social media and open sources, using Blackbird’s Constellation analytics platform to identify and monitor risk areas in line with client interests.
    • Utilizing analytical insights to create client deliverables, such as reports and presentations, and provide essential support in client meetings as necessary.
    • Maintaining positive relationships with the client throughout the project lifecycle, from initial scoping to check-in sessions and the delivery of final reports.

Other responsibilities:

  • Conduct and deliver analysis work for other Blackbird clients.
  • Demonstrate Blackbird's Constellation software product to external audiences, as an expert user.
  • Provide training on Blackbird’s Constellation platform to new client users, and other onboarding assistance.
  • Contribute to Customer Satisfaction processes, providing analyst support for Blackbird Constellation users.
  • Contribute to thought leadership and marketing content pieces, when relevant.
  • Undertake ad hoc intelligence, support, and administrative tasks as relevant, such as Quality Assurance checks for Blackbird’s software product.

Must Haves:

  • Proven experience in producing intelligence products for private sector clients or employers, with a strong preference for candidates with strategic communications, crisis communications, consultancy, or PR-related backgrounds.
  • Experience in social media analysis, ideally using social media data to inform intelligence work for private sector clients.
  • Familiarity with mainstream and alternative social media platforms and their typical users, audiences, content, structures, and mechanisms.
  • Strong competency in intelligence practices and methodologies, including identifying key collection sources, evaluating raw intelligence, conducting research, performing network analysis, and preparing finished intelligence reports for enterprise-level clients.
  • Effective oral and written communications skills with the ability to compose and deliver finished intelligence reports and verbal briefings in a timely, concise and accurate manner.
  • High professionalism, self-motivation, efficiency, and results-oriented delivery on short timelines.
  • Strong proficiency in Google Suite of products.
  • Enthusiasm to contribute to Blackbird’s growth in a fast-paced start-up environment.
  • Dedication to become an ‘expert user’ of our Constellation platform product.
  • Passion and commitment to information integrity in the digital realm.

Great to Have:

  • Previous experience using the following software tools will be highly advantageous:
    Brandwatch, Talkwalker, Meltwater, Dataminer, Tableau, and Asana.
  • Previous experience in both qualitative and quantitative project management work will be advantageous.
