Vice President of Global Deal Desk

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to join our team as a Vice President of Global Deal desk in the field of cybersecurity. As the VP of Deal Desk, you will play a critical role in establishing and overseeing the global deal desk function, collaborating cross-functionally and providing valuable insights to optimize deal structures.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

  • Develop and lead the deal desk team, building a high-performance culture that aligns with that of our sales team.
  • Act as an escalation point for the deal desk team members on policy exceptions, complex deal structures, and other deal desk matters.
  • Develop and manage consistently applied pricing strategies and discount approvals, informed by a deep understanding of pricing models and competitive positioning.
  • Collaborate with Sales to analyze deal structures and develop deal strategy, applying a customer-centric mindset and ensuring alignment with overall company goals. Where necessary, participate in deal reviews with Sales Leadership to help drive Account-Level deal strategy.
  • Equip our sales teams to navigate complex deals by providing training and guidance on pricing strategies, contract negotiations, and deal desk processes.
  • Work closely with Sales, Finance, Legal, Sales Operations and other teams to review deal approvals and implement best-in-class deal processes.
  • Evaluate and mitigate legal, financial, and operational deal risks, ensuring compliance with company policies and legal requirements.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Proven track record of success in leadership roles, preferably within the cybersecurity industry or a related field
  • 8+ years of relevant Deals Desk/Finance experience working in Enterprise software/SaaS industry.
  • Previous experience must include leading and managing a distributed Deal Desk function, advising on complex deal structuring and booking/revenue recognition implications.
  • High level of proficiency in Salesforce/CPQ+ is a must, with a preference for experience in building out a CPQ+ instance.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills, with a track record of building and managing high-performing teams.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to leverage data and market insights to drive informed decision-making.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and cross-functionally with other departments and regions.
  • Self-motivated, results-oriented, and able to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
