The Cloud Technical Specialist role is a dynamic and varied customer focused technical position. As a Cloud Technical Specialist, in the field of Cyber Security, you will be part of a targeted overlay specialist team supporting the EMEA go to market team on our largest customer opportunities in cloud. As an overlay resource, you will provide technical pre-sales specialization and guidance focused on promoting and maximizing selling Darktrace Cloud Security solutions. Your primary objective will be to partner and support account teams to drive revenue growth, exceed sales targets, and foster customer understanding and adoption of our cloud products. This role requires strong mentorship skills, deep knowledge of one or more cloud provider suites, cyber security, and a passion for driving solution and technical excellence in the field of cyber security.

Darktrace is currently expanding its technical team to accommodate a rapidly growing customer base and accelerating revenue. We are looking to hire senior figures within the team to drive continuous growth in the region. You'll be provided with extensive training and support as you further your existing skills in this role.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Partner with account teams and leadership teams to develop cloud-specific sales strategies and opportunity plans to achieve revenue and growth objectives.
  • Support account teams and customers through demos and Proof of Value positioning for Darktrace in their cloud environments
  • Identify new opportunities for upsells in cloud by creating and developing strong technical relationships with customers and channel partners
  • Collaborate with account teams on Technology reviews, product findings, and integration with other technologies they may have
  • Support account team responses to cloud-focused RFIs/RFPs
  • Support in the account team in designing deployment plans and architectures for customers
  • Pre-Sales Strategy and Planning: Collaborate with account teams and leadership team to develop cloud-specific sales strategies and opportunity plans to achieve revenue and growth objectives.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Experience in a software sales engineer or technical account manager role; experience in cybersecurity strongly preferred (Essential)
  • Technical experience and relevant certifications in one or more cloud service provider platforms (Essential)
  • Demonstrated success in selling to and supporting Fortune 500 organizations (Essenatial)
  • Experience in consultative selling and POV success criteria definition (Essential)
  • Strong knowledge in both on-premise and cloud networking (Essential)
  • Confident, polished communicator with a proven ability to build lasting, critical business relationships (Essential)
