In this role you’ll be joining Darktrace’s Microsoft Infrastructure Team and will be responsible for planning, implementing, and maintaining the company’s Microsoft based infrastructure (cloud and on-prem) whilst advising and supporting the business on a 3rd line basis
This is a hybrid role, with the expectations of 2 days a week in the Cambridge office.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain and provide expertise on the Microsoft SaaS, IaaS and on-prem estate
- Ensure backup & restore procedures for the company’s infrastructure are practiced and adhered-to regularly and company-wide
- Assist the development team in their both desktop and server environments; researching and keeping up speed with new technologies.
- Advance IT project work by learning and using technologies such as SQL Server, Hyper-V, PowerShell, Exchange Server and more
- Work on IT projects that drive forward the adoption of Microsoft Cloud Technologies.
- Document and automate repetitive processes so they can be delegated to the 1st and 2nd line teams to help the teams work smarter not harder.
- Internalise a security-first mindset and evangelise best practices
- Participate in cross team and cross department meetings with opinions, ideas, and suggestions.
- Support the user-base as a Microsoft expert
