Role summary:

Our dynamic global People team are based across Americas, EMEA and APAC. We are focused on balancing the needs of the employee and the business, by building strong relationships with employees and managers, and working together to achieve business goals. We are looking for a People Business Partner to join our collaborative and dynamic People team. This role will be responsible for the APAC business area, working alongside the wider People team, managers and key stakeholders to help build people capability, and shape effective people strategies. The successful applicant will have solid HR experience dealing with daily operations as well as strategic responsibilities.

Key responsibilities:

  • Form ffective relationships with key stakeholders to discuss people challenges and provide guidance where appropriate,
  • Providing guidance on people practices such as restructures and succession planning,
  • Bringing people expertise and developing solutions to help the business area to deliver its strategy,
  • Acting as a local point of people expertise for specialist teams that are implementing new people approaches,
  • Coaching and providing feedback to managers to help improve business efficiency,
  • Assisting in putting efficient processes and procedures in place,
  • Work with the HR Manager and other key stakeholders with the roll out of HR projects,
  • Manage the upkeep of the HR policies in the employee handbook and contribute to policy updates,
  • Regularly measure and analyse HR metrics and trends to develop solutions and drive change across the business area,
  • Act as a mentor to the People team,
  • Work alongside the global People Business Partners,
  • Advise and manage the visa process.

Person Specification

You will be an experienced and qualified HR professional with previous experience of working across APAC and/or ANZ at a Senior Advisor / Business Partner level. It’s likely that you’ll have/be:

  • Strong stakeholder management skills,
  • Commercially astute and able to work in a fast-paced business,
  • Able to demonstrate discretion and sound judgment while working with sensitive and confidential materials,
  • Excellent communication, written and interpersonal skills,
  • Strong attention to detail,
  • Experience using and understanding the mechanics of an HRIS,
  • A team player who acts with a sense of urgency and adapts to a fast-paced and ever-changing environment, but also confident to work independently,
  • The ability to work well under pressure, with good time management and organisational skills,
  • Ability to solve moderate to complex problems; resourceful and takes initiative to seek internal and external resources when problem-solving,
  • Keep up to date with employment law knowledge with experience working across global regions,
  • CIPD Level 7 qualified or equivalent.
