We are looking for a Accounts Payable Assistant to join our innovative, fast-paced and growing company. As a member of the finance department and a growing accounts payable team you will interact with people across the business and have multiple priorities at one time, so you will need to be a good communicator and have superb time management skills, excellent attention to detail and self-motivation.

This is a full time position based 5 days a week out of our Cambridge headquarters.

On a day-to-day basis you'll be:

Processing incoming purchase invoices, reconciling supplier statements, coding and checking company details. You'll be allocating credit cards payments and reconciling monthly statements as well as working with key suppliers and handling queries. Within this role you'll also be ensuring invoices are authorized, preparing weekly suggested payment and liaising with the team manager on cash requirements (UK and international currency). Other responsibilities may include:

  • Other finance month end routines (may include items such as accruals, prepayments and other journals)
  • Working to support annual audit information preparation
  • Recording and reconcile inter-company transactions
  • Reviewing deposits and contract prepayments
  • Inputting capital expenditure items to Fixed Asset register

More about you:

We welcome applications from candidates who want to start or continue their career in finance. You must be enthusiastic, reliable and self-confident with an excellent telephone manner. As well as being numerate with a strong attention to detail you must be highly organized with a pro-active approach to work individually and as part of the team. Prior experience with Excel, Workday or in finance is desirable. Bein flexible with your work to accommodate key monthly deadlines at peak times is important in this role.
