We are looking for a highly skilled Technical QA Manager with a strong focus on test automation design and implementation. The ideal candidate will have proven expertise in building automation frameworks from the ground up, driving automation strategy, and mentoring QA engineers. This role requires a hands-on leader who can architect, code, and scale automation solutions while ensuring product quality across complex systems.
Responsibilities:
Automation Strategy & Implementation
- Own the end-to-end automation strategy across projects.
- Design, develop, and maintain robust automation frameworks (UI, API, performance).
- Ensure automation is integrated into CI/CD pipelines for continuous testing.
- Drive high automation coverage to reduce manual regression effort.
- Ensure automation coverage across functional, regression, performance, and integration testing.
Framework Design
- Architect scalable, reusable, and maintainable frameworks using JavaScript/TypeScript.
- Leverage modern tools such as Playwright (preferred), Selenium.
- Establish coding standards, best practices, and guidelines for automation scripts.
Hands-On Development
- Write and review test cases and automation scripts for functional, regression, and integration testing.
- Implement advanced test strategies, including API automation, performance testing, and data-driven testing.
- Troubleshoot and optimize automation execution for speed and reliability.
Leadership & Mentorship
- Lead and mentor a team of QA engineers, fostering technical growth.
- Provide guidance on automation design, coding practices, and test strategy.
- Collaborate with developers, product managers, and DevOps to embed quality into the SDLC.
- Define QA strategy, processes, and best practices across projects.
Quality Governance
- Define QA metrics and KPIs to measure automation effectiveness.
- Ensure automation frameworks are scalable to handle enterprise-level datasets.
- Continuously evaluate new tools and technologies to enhance automation efficiency.
- Oversee test planning, execution, defect tracking, and reporting.
- Manage risk assessment and mitigation related to product quality.
Required Qualifications:
Technical Skills:
- 10+ years of QA experience, with at least 5+ years in automation design and implementation.
- Strong hands-on expertise in Java, JavaScript, and TypeScript for automation scripting
- Proven experience designing and implementing automation frameworks from scratch.
- Expertise with Playwright and Selenium or equivalent modern automation tools.
- Solid understanding of QA methodologies, SDLC, Agile practices, and CI/CD integration.
- Experience with API automation and performance testing.
- Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
- Experience with cloud-based test environments.
- Exposure to performance/security testing tools like Jmeter is preferred.
- Experience in large-scale enterprise automation environments.

- Hands-on leader with the ability to balance technical execution and team management.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills across cross-functional teams.
- Ability to drive innovation and continuous improvement in QA practices.
Educational Qualification
