Who You Are

Ontic is seeking a dynamic and highly respected Senior Director, GSOC Practice Leader to shape and scale modern Global Security Operations Center (GSOC) programs across enterprise and public sector organizations.

This role blends executive-level GSOC leadership experience, operational credibility, technology fluency, and strategic go-to-market partnership. You will serve as a trusted advisor to Chief Security Officers (CSOs), Heads of Global Security, Intelligence Directors, and GSOC leaders, helping them modernize operations, unify intelligence workflows, and elevate their command center capabilities.

You have led or significantly transformed a GSOC within a large, complex global enterprise — overseeing multiple regions, sites, and risk environments. You understand the operational realities of 24/7 security operations and the technology ecosystem that powers them. Most importantly, you bring the mindset of a builder: someone who has designed, scaled, and optimized security operations for resilience, efficiency, and measurable business impact.

Key Responsibilities

Accelerate Strategic Sales

  • Partner with Sales and Go-To-Market teams to support strategic enterprise opportunities by bringing deep GSOC domain expertise and operational credibility to the sales process.

  • Act as a consultative subject matter expert to prospective clients — translating complex operational challenges (intelligence intake, alarm management, crisis response, investigations handoff, executive reporting) into scalable solutions powered by Ontic.

  • Help clients envision the transformation from siloed tools and manual processes to a unified, intelligence-led GSOC model.

  • Provide real-world examples of global GSOC design, staffing models, SOP development, KPIs, and technology consolidation strategies.

  • Support expansion opportunities by advising current clients on advancing from basic use cases to fully integrated, enterprise-wide operational maturity.

Drive Customer Retention and Expansion

  • Work closely with Client Success and Sales leaders to proactively support key accounts with advisory workshops, maturity assessments, and strategic refresh sessions.

  • Offer best-practice consulting on topics such as:

    • 24/7 operational models

    • Analyst tiering and escalation frameworks

    • Metrics and executive dashboards

    • Crisis and incident command integration

    • Intelligence-to-operations workflows

    • Help clients articulate and demonstrate the business value of their GSOC to executive leadership.

    • Identify adjacent use cases (workplace violence prevention, insider risk, threat monitoring, executive protection) that naturally expand Ontic’s footprint.

    • Strengthen client “stickiness” by aligning Ontic to measurable outcomes: faster threat detection, reduced response times, improved cross-functional coordination, and increased executive visibility.

Elevate Market Credibility & Industry Leadership

  • Serve as a public-facing authority on modern GSOC strategy and cyber-physical convergence.

  • Represent Ontic at industry conferences, executive roundtables, webinars, and analyst briefings.

  • Contribute to thought leadership on topics like intelligence-led GSOCs, platform strategy, AI-driven security operations, technology tools, security convergence, and operational effectiveness.

Design & Evangelize Modern GSOC Programs

  • Develop and codify a programmatic framework for building and scaling high-performing GSOCs within complex global enterprises.

  • Advise clients on:

    • Centralized vs. regionalized GSOC models

    • Multi-site operations across global time zones

    • Governance, risk, and compliance integration

    • Vendor consolidation strategies

    • Technology stack rationalization

    • Guide clients through change management efforts required to modernize legacy operations.

    • Help organizations mature from reactive monitoring centers to proactive, intelligence-driven security hubs.

Influence the Product Roadmap

  • Leverage hands-on experience with critical GSOC tools, including:

    • Case management platforms

    • Threat intelligence platforms

    • PSIM systems

    • Access control and video management systems (VMS)

    • Incident management and notification tools

    • GRC platforms

    • Data visualization and executive reporting tools

  • Provide structured feedback to Ontic’s product teams on workflow design, automation, scale-readiness, integrations, and analyst usability.

  • Partner with product and engineering teams to ensure Ontic continues to meet the real-world operational needs of 24/7 global security teams.

  • Advocate for innovation in AI-driven intelligence enrichment, workflow orchestration, and cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

  • 12–15+ years of progressive leadership experience in Global Security Operations, GSOC management, corporate security, intelligence operations, or enterprise risk management.

  • Direct experience leading or transforming a GSOC within a large global enterprise (multi-region, multi-site operations).

  • Deep familiarity with the technology ecosystem that powers modern GSOCs, including case management, intelligence platforms, PSIM, access control, VMS, incident response tools, and data analytics platforms.

  • Proven success designing and scaling 24/7 operations, developing SOPs, KPIs, and executive reporting frameworks.

  • Experience navigating global regulatory, cultural, and operational complexities.

  • Strong understanding of cyber-physical convergence and cross-functional coordination between security, legal, HR, compliance, and IT.

  • Comfort operating at the executive level, advising CSOs, CISOs, and C-suite stakeholders with credibility and strategic clarity.

  • Experience in enterprise SaaS environments, product advisory roles, or security technology deployment at scale is strongly preferred.

  • Prior public sector or federal experience is a plus.

Intangibles That Matter

  • Operator-first mindset — You’ve been in the chair. You understand shift coverage, incident fatigue, executive escalations, and real-world constraints.

  • Systems thinker — You see the ecosystem, not just the tool. You understand how data, people, process, and technology interconnect.

  • Strategic storyteller — You can translate operational complexity into executive-level narrative and business value.

  • Change agent — You’ve led modernization efforts and understand the cultural transformation required to evolve legacy operations.

  • Builder’s mentality — You enjoy designing frameworks, improving workflows, and raising industry standards.

  • Empathetic leader — You lead with humility and understand the human side of security operations.

  • Mission-driven — You are passionate about protecting people and elevating the profession.

About You

  • You are positive and committed with a ‘can-do’ attitude and a flexible approach.

  • You are a self-starter who thrives in fast-paced, high-growth environments.

  • You are self-directed and comfortable operating cross-functionally across time zones and cultures.

  • You balance short-term revenue acceleration with long-term strategic impact.

  • You are deeply aligned with Ontic’s brand vision and values: Do Good Above All, Raise the Bar, Lead with Empathy, Walk the Walk, and Keep Moving.
