The Principal Enterprise Architect is responsible for design and development of end-to-end architectures, research the latest technology trends for a platform of platforms vision, present recommendations to senior IT leadership and provide instructions for proposed implementation while partnering with other IT architects (application, security, infrastructure, data and digital). Reporting to CIO as a trusted technology advisor, the Principal Enterprise Architect will drive the vision and strategy by connecting the corporate strategy to business strategy to IT strategy and partner within IT and outside of IT in delivering value to the business while achieving enterprise architecture goals.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Lead, prioritize, and develop the overall enterprise architecture approach for the organization, and communicate EA standards to IT and business groups
  • Collaborate with IT pillars’ leaders and architects to develop, maintain and govern enterprise architecture across the organization by leading the design and implementation of Architecture Review Board
  • Align technology architecture with the business strategy and goals, including research, recommendation, and introduction of new and emerging technologies (APIs, modular services architecture, integrated data platform)
  • Responsible for end-to-end architecture, high level design/low level design of various systems and applications with architecture modeling artifacts
  • Design, develop and maintain CIO Dashboard that defines the key metrics across the entire IT and demonstrates the business value of IT
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of large-scale computing solutions, experience leading deep architectural discussions and drive the adoption of best practices & regular participation in code and design reviews
  • Partner with enterprise business transformation office in defining architecture inputs at different stages of enterprise portfolio, project, and product management.
  • Review and analyze existing IT application landscape with a technology rationalization framework to drive effectiveness, efficiency, and development of an implementation roadmap
  • Must be self-motivated, a strong team player, work cross-functionally, promote a culture of engineering excellence, and use opportunities to reuse and in-source solutions where possible

What We’re Hiring For

  • 10+ years of experience in IT architecture, network infrastructure, application development, data, and security architecture
  • 5+ years of experience with structured enterprise architecture practices – technology, management, frameworks, and standards (TOGAF, ITIL, COBIT)
  • 5+ years of experience designing platform and data architecture with services as a layer, API integration and adhering to security standards
  • Evangelist of Agile/SCRUM/Iterative SDLC, SAFE methodologies and CI/CD principles
  • Degree required -- Computer Science/Engineering or Math background desired
  • Salary Range - $100k-$160k
