The Director of Infrastructure will be responsible for leading the Optiv Network and Infrastructure teams. In addition to being a strong technical leader, the Director should be knowledgeable in enterprise LAN and WAN, Firewalls; versed in both operations and engineering. The Director should be familiar with core infrastructure engineering and operations including but not limited to virtualization, storage, active directory and windows, Linux and various public cloud technologies. This role requires strong leadership as well as diverse technical background and the ability to effectively manage change with minimal disruption.
How you'll make an impact:
Leadership and coaching of 2 highly technical teams
Ensure the stability and operational availability in Networks, Cloud, and Infrastructure.
Management of Operational Escalations from Level 1 support
Oversight of 3 external data centers and the transition of systems to cloud
Management of information security guidelines as it relates to network, cloud, and infrastructure
Lead the optimization, enhancement and management of cloud solutions in AWS, Azure, and GCP
Lead teams charged, patches, and manages hardware, server, cloud and network, environments
Oversight of strategic projects and staff associated with those projects
Lead automation in the management of patching and upgrades; understanding of containerization, docker, and CI/CD to reduce manual labor
Management of vendors and licensing in the appropriate disciplines
Performs problem-solving efforts often involving outside vendors and other support
personnel and/or organizations
Maintenance of technology and enhancements as required within the domain
Build relationships with business units to support, enhance and maintain platform engineering requirements for external customers
Oversight of strategic projects within the domain
Provide training, mentorship and ongoing support of cloud best practices
Management of enterprise video solutions
Travel as required to office locations.
Manage both the Network and Infrastructure teams
Mentor and coach employees
Develop operational and status reports
Ensure projects are completed on time and budget
Vendor Management
What we're looking for:
B.A. or B.S. in a technical field or a relevant combination of education and experience
10+ years of expertise in implementing, administering, and troubleshooting cloud, networking, and infrastructure environments
10+ years of experience as a leader in technology managing multiple technical teams
5+ years of experience in AWS OR Azure specifically focused on FINOPS and transitions from public to private cloud
5+ years of experience in enterprise network engineering, operations and design
Knowledge of Video systems and solutions
Deep understanding enterprise Windows and Linux operating systems
Strong understanding of storage and data management technologies
Understanding of principals related to ITIL, Cyber Security and compliance as it relates to the role
Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
Salary Range Description
$144,200.00 - $192,500.00 Annual
The Hiring Range provided for this role is informed by (but not limited to) various factors including responsibilities of the position, work experience, education/training, internal peer equity, geography, as well as other market influences when extending an offer. The disclosed range has not been adjusted for these factors. This role may also be eligible to participate in a variable incentive-based bonus plan. Optiv offers a comprehensive compensation and benefits package, of which salary is a component.
