The Demand Generation Marketing Manager (or Corporate Programs Marketing Manager as we call it) will be a crucial member of the team, focused on driving and executing Optiv’s global events in partnership with Cisco. In this highly visible role, this person is responsible for the strategic execution of a variety of large industry shows, SKOs, regional events, and corporate events. They will be responsible for strategically bringing excitement, innovation, and excellence to amplify and support Optiv and Cisco’s brand and business growth. This position works on a national level with Optiv’s Sales Go-To-Market team, AVPs, Regional Sales Directors, and Executive Leadership Team.

The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker who understands the business and evolving priorities, and how they apply to events to deliver strong ROI and create meaningful engagements for Optiv clients.

How you’ll make an impact

Program Strategy, Project Management and Execution

  • Plan and execute strong, data-driven marketing activities and programs to drive pipeline generation and global brand awareness - from the development of the strategy and plan, to content oversight, pre-event campaign strategy, event execution, and post-event analysis and evaluation.

  • Devise and execute events and similar programs that reflect the company’s culture, business goals and objectives.

  • Collaborate with Marketing Program Leadership and the Demand Generation team to align global campaigns with supporting corporate activities.

  • Collaborate with Product Marketing and Brand & Comms to create program content that educates and inspires the cybersecurity community while driving awareness and revenue to the organization.

  • Partner with Sales GTM team, AVPs and Regional Sales Directors to understand their business needs and tailor corporate programs to align with national objectives and regional goals and priorities.

  • Responsible for researching and securing venue options, building out program registration pages in Marketo and Cvent, providing registration reporting, invitation creation, shipping materials, and all onsite program execution.

  • Negotiate all logistics including sponsorships, exhibit presence, booth staffing, communications, and responsible for post event reporting and analytics while operating within designated budget.

  • Deliver timely and detailed communications to internal clients, including executives, throughout the entire event cycle.

  • Analyze investment, expected return, and overall feasibility of proposed activities, working with cross-functional marketing teams if additional resources are needed to meet program objectives.

  • Evaluate feasibility of additional corporate opportunities for the sales team to engage with prospects and build pipeline.

  • Work with the Global Partner Alliance and Partner Marketing teams to identify and evaluate key Cisco campaign event strategies that can be driven at a national level to drive and influence sales.

  • Responsible for producing and managing program budgets, securing adequate partner funding, and tracking MDF to ensure there is no profit loss.

  • Work closely with the broader marketing team to promote event presence via multiple channels and track event ROI and contribution to the company's KPIs.

  • Travel to events as required (15-20%)

MDF Administration

  • Responsible for securing partner funding to defray event costs, either directly with partner manufacturers or through distribution.

  • Submit contracts and funding paperwork.

  • Ensure necessary documentation is uploaded into NetSuite to support MDF claims.

What we’re looking for

  • 7+ years of professional, business marketing event management experience including largescale event management, strategy, creation, and execution.

  • Passion for corporate marketing and working with sales to generate pipeline and drive business.

  • Demonstrable understanding of all phases of corporate marketing including promotions, traffic drivers, staff training, logistics, KPIs and metrics.

  • Ability to demonstrate leadership, creativity, and initiative.

  • Excellent strategic thinking skills with ability to make data-driven decisions.

  • Experience working with sales leadership and ability to influence others cross functionally.

  • Strong work ethic operating with a sense of urgency, ability to multi-task, strong organizational, and project management skills, and a can-do attitude.

  • Experience working in technology or cybersecurity preferred.

  • Experience writing external facing marketing correspondence that supports marketing programs, lead generation activities, and marketing communication efforts.

  • Experience working with product manufacturers and distribution channels.

  • Experience with Salesforce, Marketo, Cvent, NetSuite, WorkFront, or similar integrated marketing tools is preferred.

  • Bachelor’s degree with an emphasis in Marketing, Business, Communications, or English
