How you’ll make an impact

  • Lead engineering team by prioritizing clients work requests, projects and service tasks.
  • Work closely with Management, Service Delivery and other Principal Engineers in defining processes and procedures for internal projects.
  • Guide the design, development and review of complex security SIEM content.
  • Analyzes and identifies areas of improvement with existing processes, procedures and documentation.
  • Develop individual team, defining strategies and responsibilities to be successful and grow.
  • Develops internal training methods to support Managed Services and their clients.
  • Act as the point of escalation for other Engineers (Associate Engineer, Security Engineer, & Senior Engineer) and provide guidance and mentoring.
  • Assist with client transition and onboarding serve as primary point of contact for Managed Security Service clients.
  • This will require documentation of Account Governance processes and responsibility for report generation and notification to senior leadership about potential client Service Level Agreement (SLA) issues.
  • Explain and demonstrate how to use various Enterprise Security products to both technical and relatively non-technical personnel.
  • Provide remote consulting services via interactive client sessions to assist with implementation of multiple product vendors and technologies.
  • Implement and configure enterprise security software and appliance-based products in large enterprise and Government environments.

What we’re looking for

  • Bachelor's Degree / College degree or equivalent required
  • 8-10 years Professional experience in the Information Security field and within discipline required
  • 7-10 years Advanced information security knowledge in one or more areas to include: Okta, Site Minder, Ping etc.
  • User and Group Management: Creating, managing, and deleting users and groups. Assigning roles and permissions to users and groups. Understanding user attributes and their impact on access.
  • Security Policies: Implementing and enforcing security policies, such as password policies and sign-on policies. Leveraging Okta's security policy framework to strengthen security posture. Understanding and implementing MFA and adaptive authentication.
  • Federation: Configuring and managing SSO for various applications. Understanding different federation protocols (e.g., SAML, OAuth). Managing user access to applications through Okta.
  • Application Integration: Integrating applications with Okta for SSO and user provisioning.
  • Understanding different application types and their integration requirements. Automating user provisioning and deprovisioning.
  • User Lifecycle Management: Managing user lifecycles, including onboarding, offboarding, and role changes. Understanding and implementing user provisioning and deprovisioning workflows.
  • Okta API: Using the Okta API to automate tasks and integrate with other systems. Understanding API authentication and authorization.
  • Troubleshooting: Identifying and resolving issues related to Okta configuration and functionality. Understanding Okta logs and troubleshooting tools.
  • Okta Workflows: Automating complex identity processes using Okta Workflows. Building custom connectors and integrations.
  • Okta Universal Directory: Managing user identities across multiple directories.
    Understanding and implementing federation with different identity providers.
  • Okta Access Gateway: Securing access to internal applications. Implementing fine-grained access control policies.
  • Okta Advanced Server Access: Securing access to servers and infrastructure. Implementing role-based access control for servers.
  • Okta Fast pass: Implementing password less authentication. Understanding and managing Fast pass policies.
  • Okta B2B Integration: Managing access for business-to-business (B2B) users. Understanding and implementing B2B workflows.
  • Understanding of network architecture and implementation is a must; ideal candidate will have worked with network security analysis.
  • Excellent time management, reporting, and communication skills. Superior IT problem-solving skills. Knowledge of Linux and Windows Operating Systems
  • An understanding of a wide array of server grade applications such as: DBMS, Exchange, DNS, SMTP, IIS, Apache, SharePoint, Active Directory, Identity Management, Patch Management, LDAP, SQL, and others
  • Experience with various SIEM security products such as: ArcSight, QRadar, Nitro, Splunk, LogRhythm and infrastructure components such as proxies, firewalls, IDS/IPS, DLP etc.
