As a Sr. DevOps Engineer, you have responsibility around the operationalization of the current and new services for the GreyMatter platform. You will lead in building and maturing tools to ensure platform availability and resiliency. The everyday hustle:

  • Use advanced troubleshooting techniques to identify and develop long term solutions for a highly complex, modern platform
  • Act as subject matter expert for ReliaQuest’s DevOps Engineering team, including advising on new tools, operational standards, and best practices
  • Improve automated alerting, monitoring, and logging to immediately identify an issue and ultimately where the issue lies on the platform
  • Partner effectively with other teams such as DevOps, Development, Infrastructure and Functional Engineering to solve complex problems
  • Provide training and support to other team members as well as cultivate a culture of constant collaboration
  • Understand how to build secure, performant, reliable and durable systems

Do you have what it takes?

  • A passion to deep dive into problems with a mindset to problem solve and build in long term reliability
  • Enthusiasm for learning new tools, automation, and working through complex problems with a Sustaining mindset
  • Enterprise experience with APM’s such as Datadog, New Relic, Dynatrace and/or AppDynamics
  • Expertise with cloud-based services in Azure
  • Hands on experience with Kubernetes and Terraform
  • Hands on experience with log analytic tools, Splunk or ELK preferred
  • Experience with messaging services such as Kafka, Rabbit, AmazonMQ or ActiveMQ
  • Familiarity using distributed, multitiered containerized web platforms

What makes you uncommon?

  • Coding experience with at least one language, Bash, Python, Go, C#, Ruby or JavaScript
  • Experience with CI/CD pipeline management using technologies like Jenkins, AWS Developer Tools (CodeBuild, CodeCommit, CodeDeploy, etc.) GitLab, Puppet, Harness, JFrog, TeamCity
  • Previous work on a development team building security software
