ReliaQuest is looking for a Technical Writer who can create and deliver content that drives deep understanding and usage of ReliaQuest’s cloud-native Open XDR platform, GreyMatter. The GreyMatter platform is used by both an internal community (our security operations analysts acting on behalf of customers) in addition to our customer community.

As a Technical Writer, you are passionate about developing high-quality content to ensure our entire user community is successful in using the GreyMatter platform. You are not afraid to be hands-on with our product or other technologies so that you can empathize with the challenges our users face. You are laser focused on improving internal and external user experience. You are a natural collaborator with a proven track record of collaborating with engineers, product managers, and customer-facing teams. You can create easy-to-understand user guides, tutorials, and reference material. Regardless of the content medium, you have a natural ability to explain complex topics in a simple and impactful way.

The everyday hustle

  • Collaborates with customers and/or internal teams (including product managers, project managers, UX designers, and developers) to successfully understand the problems our users are facing and the ways our products help to solve them.

  • Delivers clear, understandable, and high-quality documentation in a timely manner – aligned to product releases and launch events.

  • Consumes large amounts of technical details and organizes this information into digestible formats for users.

  • Follows an established writing style guide to provide consistent and cohesive content.

  • Audits and evaluates existing content and recommends changes/rewrites to meet brand guidelines and content standards.

  • Provides input to engineers, product managers, and designers on product content, documentation, and visual comps from a readability and usability perspective.

  • Regularly provides documentation walkthroughs to internal and external end users.

  • Manages multiple projects, prioritizes work, and sets stakeholder expectations with ease.

Do you have what it takes?

  • 2 years of experience as a technical writer in a B2B software, IT, or cybersecurity company

  • Experience working with product management teams, UX designers, engineers, and end users

  • Proven ability to translate highly technical information into digestible formats for users

  • Ability to own the creation, collaboration, and publication of technical product documentation

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills

  • Writes exceptionally clean copy (and has the blog clips to prove it)

  • Thrives in a fast-paced company with high editorial standards
