Saviynt is recognized as the leader in identity security, with solutions that protect and empower the world’s leading brands, Fortune 500 companies and government institutions.
We are seeking a professional, highly motivated Founding Account Executive to architect and lead Saviynt’s Canadian Public Sector vertical. This is a foundational build-out role designed for a strategic seller who thrives on creating a market from the ground up.
At Saviynt, we recognize that success in the Federal and Provincial markets requires a long-term view. We are committed to providing the necessary runway for the right candidate to navigate the complexities of Canadian procurement, build brand equity, and secure essential contract vehicles (e.g., SLSA, ProServices). You will lead the charge in positioning Saviynt’s Identity Cloud as the premier solution for Protected B workloads, ensuring compliance with ITSG-33 and federal data sovereignty and residency requirements.
As the primary interface to our Canadian Public Sector prospects, you will be responsible for the entire sales cycle—from discovery and demos to RFI/RFPs and POCs. You will combine deep knowledge of Identity, Cloud Security, or PAM technology with the "hunter" mindset needed to establish Saviynt as the gold standard for IaaS Cloud Security and Access Governance in Canada.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:

  • Strategic Market Build-Out
  • Establish the Foundation: Identify and secure the necessary Canadian Public Sector contract vehicles (e.g., SLSA, ProServices, TBIPS) and provincial standing offers.
  • Go-to-Market Strategy: Develop and execute the "playbook" for Saviynt within Canadian Federal and Provincial markets, tailoring our message to local compliance and data residency needs.
  • Internal Collaboration: Partner with the Cloud Team, Field Sales, and Product Management to ensure Saviynt’s roadmap aligns with Canadian government requirements (e.g., Protected B).
  • Sales Execution & Pipeline Ownership
  • End-to-End Ownership: Lead the entire sales cycle—from aggressive prospecting and discovery to demos, POCs, and closing complex government tenders.
  • Pipeline Generation: Leverage personal networks, partner channels (SIs/Advisories), and marketing events to build a high-quality, sustainable pipeline.
  • CRM Discipline: Maintain meticulous records in SFDC to provide executive visibility and ensure seamless team communication.
  • Performance: Consistently achieve monthly and quarterly revenue objectives, balancing immediate wins with long-cycle strategic accounts.

WHAT YOU BRING:

  • The "Builder" DNA: Proven track record of being the first (or one of the first) boots on the ground in a region; ability to work autonomously to build a brand and establish a market presence.
  • Procurement Expertise: Deep understanding of Canadian Government procurement processes. You must have experience navigating the Shared Services Canada (SSC) landscape, Treasury Board guidelines, and securing essential contract vehicles (e.g., SLSA, ProServices, TBIPS).
  • Government Fluency: Sophisticated understanding of PSPC contracting authorities, including IT Category Management, the Acquisitions Program, and the Specialized Services Sector (SSS).
  • Operational Awareness: Experience navigating the technical and security constraints of the GC environment (e.g., GCdocs restrictions, file sharing protocols, and Protected B data handling protocols).
  • Public Sector Pedigree: 7+ years of experience selling Enterprise SaaS or Identity/Security solutions specifically to Canada's Public Sector (Federal experience is required; Provincial is a significant plus).
  • Strategic Network: A ready-to-go network of cybersecurity contacts at the ADM, DG, and Director levels within major departments (e.g., SSC, DND, ESDC, IRCC).
  • Channel Mastery: Successful history of working with the local Canadian ecosystem, including Resellers, SIs, and Advisories who hold key government relationships.
  • Professionalism & Grit: A self-starter with a positive attitude who can work independently to build a territory while collaborating with global teams to achieve regional goals.
  • Clearance: Ability to obtain (or currently holding) a Government of Canada Security Clearance (Reliability or Secret) is highly preferred.
  • Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with Cloud Identity Management, Cloud Privileged Access Management, and/or Cloud Security Governance technology is a major plus.
If required for this role, you will:
- Complete security & privacy literacy and awareness training during onboarding and annually thereafter
- Review (initially and annually thereafter), understand, and adhere to Information Security/Privacy Policies and Procedures such as (but not limited to):
> Data Classification, Retention & Handling Policy
> Incident Response Policy/Procedures
> Business Continuity/Disaster Recovery Policy/Procedures
> Mobile Device Policy
> Account Management Policy
> Access Control Policy
> Personnel Security Policy
> Privacy Policy
