We are looking for an experienced Engineering Team Lead to lead a key Software Engineering team in Dublin.

What you will be doing:

As a Team Lead at Semperis, you will be an essential member of our Engineering team, managing and leading a dedicated team of software engineers to deliver the latest security and identity products. You’ll oversee project planning, execution, and delivery, as well as resolving conflicts and removing obstacles for your team.

You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including Product Management, UX/UI Design, and Backend Engineering to define and execute the roadmap. Your leadership will be instrumental in driving technical excellence, fostering innovation, and maintaining high standards of quality and security.

You will be expected to demonstrate a high level of creativity and innovation, thrive in high-pressure environments, and possess strong communication and interpersonal skills. A solid foundation in software development, along with the ability to manage deadlines and apply analytical thinking to complex challenges, will be essential to your success in this role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Recruit, manage, coach, develop, and retain technical talent. Build and maintain a strong team culture focused on accountability, growth, and continuous learning.

  • Lead ongoing development including technical analysis, design, and implementation following the Agile SDLC and Scrum methodologies. Collaborate closely with stakeholders in Product Management, UI/UX and other engineering teams to ensure successful product delivery, deployment to production, and operations.

  • Facilitate product architecture and evolution including product convergence and integration, creation of a technical product road map, its implementation and evolution.

  • Plan and lead product releases, track implementation progress against set schedule and budget. Facilitate coordination across related products. Define and report on relevant SDLC KPIs and metrics. Communicate status and take proactive corrective action as required.

  • Maintain and improve formal development processes within a team using company-wide standard tools to achieve full transparency and traceability.

  • Drive product quality improvements through technical excellence and best-in-class software development practices into organizational culture and all ongoing activities.

  • Participate in development and evolution of functional processes and drive Agile and Scrum process evolution and organizational change.

  • Ensure direct reports and the entire team have appropriate training and tools for maximum development productivity and velocity.

  • Interact with product managers, procurement, common engineering, legal, and end-users to define application requirements and/or selection or partners.

  • Keeping up to date with industry trends and technology developments

What you will bring:

  • 2+ years direct management of software developers

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience)

  • Experience developing or managing SAAS solutions in a cloud platform (AWS, Azure, GCP)

  • Experience with modern software development processes (CI/CD, DevOps, microservices, Agile Scrum)

  • A demonstrated record of delivering commercial enterprise software product development projects on time, with high quality, and to specification.

  • Strong proactive leadership skills, ability to organize, motivate and inspire teams to achieve great results.

  • Collaboration and conflict resolution skills.

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.

  • Ability to translate business requirements into sound technical solutions, conceive, build, and deliver end-to-end solutions and communicate these solutions with peer organizations.

  • Strong technical and understanding of software engineering concepts

  • Proficiency in programming languages, frameworks, and tools used for software development

Bonus Points:

  • Knowledge in Enterprise Identity domain

  • Understanding of security best practices for enterprise software

  • Experience with data-driven decision making and performance metrics
