We are seeking an experienced Application Security Engineer to join our dynamic and innovative team.
Our Office location: Ramat Gan, Israel.
What you will be doing:
The ideal candidate will be responsible for implementing, assessing, and improving the security of our cybersecurity solutions, ensuring their robustness against attacks and vulnerabilities, as well as meeting the highest industry security standards.
You will be responsible for:
Develop, implement, and maintain application security strategies and solutions to ensure the protection of proprietary/confidential data, systems and solutions.
Conduct application security assessments and penetration testing to identify vulnerabilities, and develop mitigation strategies.
Drive Secure Software Development Life Cycle (SSDLC) to ensure the integration of necessary security controls.
Perform Secure Code Reviews throughout the SSDLC process.
Collaborate with the development team to design secure software systems and applications.
Create, maintain, and communicate the application security policy and guidelines to the development team and other stakeholders.
Assist in incident response activities, including identifying, investigating, and resolving application-related security breaches.
Stay up-to-date on the latest security trends, threats, and technologies, applying this knowledge to security strategy and operations.
What you will bring to the table:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field. Alternately industry certifications such as Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), or Certified Secure Software Lifecycle Professional (CSSLP) would be beneficial.
2-4 years of experience as an Application Security Engineer for a software vendor, or Application Security Consultant for a professional services provider.
Proficiency in secure coding practices and an understanding of common security libraries, security controls, and common security flaws.
Proficiency in various programming languages such as C#, .NET, Java, C++, Python, etc.
Experience with application security tools (e.g., SAST, DAST, IAST, etc.) and knowledge of threat modeling or risk identification techniques.
Strong problem-solving skills, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and excellent communication & multi-departmental collaboration skills.
